What we carry, and why.
We stock the Chinese cooking essentials at depth: Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce and Premium Soy, Pearl River Bridge light and dark soys, Chinkiang black vinegar, Shaoxing wine, doubanjiang (Pixian broad bean paste), Lao Gan Ma chili crisp in every variety, and Sichuan peppercorns whole and ground.
The dry goods section runs deep — dried shiitake mushrooms, wood ear, lily flower, dried scallop, salted duck egg yolks, lotus seed, and red bean paste for desserts. We carry hot pot bases from Haidilao and Little Sheep, plus all the fixings: bean curd skin, fish balls, beef tendon balls, frozen dumplings.
Our produce keeps Chinese broccoli (gai lan), yu choy, Shanghai bok choy, Chinese long beans, and bitter melon stocked weekly. The butcher cuts pork belly for char siu and red-braised pork, and we carry whole ducks for roasting.
